5 easy steps to select the right Winlink video wall controller
(WL-HDVP) model for your video wall.
How to select the Winlink VWC (Video Wall Controller) model that is right for you?
The Winlink VWC controllers are modular designed with Chassis,
Input Cards, Output Cards and other functional components,
which make it very easy to select the configuration.
Step I: Confirm the number of required Input/Output (I/O) ports.
Take for example a 2x4 video wall project. For this case, you would
need 8x outputs. If, for example, connect to 8 PC signals and
4 DVD signals, the total number of inputs would be 12x. With this
type of video wall project, you are able to confirm 8x output and
12x input signals. (Refer to below pic)
Step II: Confirm I/O signal interfaces.
As Winlink's Input and Output cards are based on a modular design,
the user must specify which signal interfaces he requires so that
the hardware chassis can be populated with the associated cards. In
this project, the outputs have DVI interfaces and the inputs are
HDMI and DVI interfaces. This means you would require multiple DVI
output cards, HDMI and DVI input cards. Winlink will populate the
chassis with the correlative I/O Cards according to the buyer's
demand in factory before shipping.

Step III: Confirm I/O card (or slots) quantities.
In this project which requires 8x DVI outputs, 8x HMDI inputs and
4x DVI inputs.
You would need 2x pcs 4-Channel HDMI Input Cards (4x input ports
per card), 1x pcs 4-Channel
DVI input cards (4 input ports per card) and 2x pcs 4-Channel DVI
Output Cards (4x output ports per card).

Step IV: Select your Winlink chassis.
The Winlink WL-HDVP have models including 1 U, 2 U , 3.5 U and 7U
for the chassis. 1U -sized chassis
which supports 1 input slot and 1 output slot.2U-sized chassis
which supports 2 input slots and 2 output slots.
3.5 U-sized chassis which supports 5 input slots and 6 output
slots. 7U-sized chassis which supports 8 input slots
and 9 output slots.
